Conceived as a space for photography, collaboration, and cultural events, Mixtape Milano is designed around flexibility and exchange. Stripped back to its essentials, the existing partitions were removed to reveal a generous, uninterrupted volume capable of adapting to a wide range of uses.

At the heart of the space sits the “Station” - a sculptural curved volume that wraps around four existing columns, transforming a structural constraint into the project’s defining feature. Housing the photographer’s private studio alongside a collection of retro arcade games, it serves as both workspace and social anchor, bringing a playful energy to the interior.

The design takes its cues from the original palladiana flooring discovered within the unit, building upon its rich texture and history with a carefully curated vintage-inspired palette. Velvet curtains, classic light fittings, and iconic hardware introduce warmth and nostalgia, creating a setting that feels both timeless and distinctly Milanese.
